Who writes this

The Bot Market is written and run by Andy Webb, a two-time Webby Award winning product and technology leader with over 20 years of experience building digital products across media, telecoms, and AI.

Andy has led product and engineering teams at some of the biggest names in media and technology, including the BBC, Huawei, and Sky. At the BBC, he ran the global product and engineering teams behind a world top-100 website, two international streaming services (including BritBox), and the BBC's Voice and AI division, where his team's work with Alexa, Google Home, and Siri won two Webby Awards.

More recently, Andy has worked as a product consultant across the AI and media landscape, advising companies on AI-powered content workflows, data marketplaces for machine learning, and streaming infrastructure. He's been hands-on with AI tools since before ChatGPT existed, and brings the perspective of someone who doesn't just review software but builds products with it.

Andy runs The Bot Market from Barcelona, where he also leads Webventures.ai, a consultancy focused on digital product strategy and AI integration. Every tool reviewed on this site is tested personally by Andy in real-world workflows, not benchmarked in a lab.
